AP Exams

It is a bittersweet moment when the AP exams turn their ugly heads around the corner. They seem to creep up on us like a lion in the safarian grass and when they strike, its crazy! Well, if you were to put AP exams in terms of lions in the grass, their strike would not really be that leathal. See, AP exams don't really affect your grade. They are kinda just there for getting college credits.

Looking Back

So I look out into the world wondering how much could really be out there. What is meant to happen, or are things even meant to happen at all? There has always been a struggle between opposing sides. I guess without the struggle life wouldn't be the same. There is evolution vs creation, good vs bad, fate vs coincedence and so on. All in all it seems as though the universe tends to balance itself out. We kind of learned about all this kidna stuff during my class last semester, On the Lillypond. I feel that Dr. Greenwell really opened up a spiritual side of me that I never really knew existed. She taught us things like 'no mind' which is a state of mind that thoughts are cleared from your head and everything is viewed in the presesnt. I also enjoyed learning about true happiness. This can be achieved when an individual is totally content with his or her life. For, if there is nothing that person desires, there is no room for one not to be happy since s/he has everything that they need. Lillypond was an interesting and unique class to take during my senior year. I enjoyed learning and would recommend it to all those who want to experience something out of the ordinary.

So uh, a paper bag.

A brown paper bag can say many things. It's such a mysterious object, all brown and papery. Who whould have thought that such a simple idea could revolutionize my lunch bag experience. It is a combination of durability and breathability and the ease of dispensability in a single package. It is cheap and also easy to acquire. I've even begun to use paper bags as pillows and an occasional mask for time to time when I am lacking better materials to get the job done. I guess I like the paper bag so much because of my liking of thigns that have mulitple uses. I consider myself a fairly environmentally aware person and I know that waste does to the environment. So, I believe that using thigns to their full potential is really doing a favor to the cause of saving our Earth. Things might not always be that elegant or expensive but hey as long as it's useful right? The best feeling is when I find something that has another use. I like to be resourceful like using.. I don't know, old carboard boxes for airsoft forts. It is like having a mini stroke of genious.

Heck Yeah!

Speaking of all this end-of-school talk, how about that summertime. I love the summer. It's free of school work that I definitely could do without. Its so hard to make it through the school year with the thought that summer had passed and will take so long to come. In the summmer, the beach is so nice. The past summer, I caught some sick waves bodyboarding down in the south shore. See during the summer is when the usually big-waved north shore turns smalla nd the bulk of the action is seen on the south shore. Seeing that I live on the south shore, I like that. No drive, no wait, just beach whenever I feel like it. Dropping in is the greatest, exhilurating feeling in the world. The surge of the water is soon in tail and the thought of the crushing force that is soon to come bears on my mind. The ocean is a beautiful place and needs to be taken with a grain of salt, figuratively. I has unmeasureable power and gives life but can also take it away. Summer is a time when I can chill with the guys and meet more girls. Birthday bash at the Waikiki SHell is also one of the best times of the year. Halfway through the three month sesh is when Birthday bash comes. It is the best time of the year straight up! I just have oh so much fun.

Wow We Wow Wow

So anyways, it hit me this weekend that school is really winding down to a close. Let's just recap on some of the past, year-end signals I've experienced in the past few weeks. Well, first off we passed the 4th quarter mark and hey, in my books, that's quite a landmark event. 4th quarter means we're practically done with school and the 'senioritis' kicks in for most. My personal view on the whole senioritis deal is kind of frayed. Like most people, I feel that I have the right to relax and let loose a little bit. I mean, I im in college already and as long as I don't fail I should be ok. However, there is the other side of me that got me through the other 15 quarters in my high school career that tells me not to let up. I guess what I've decided to do is let myself a little slack in a way. I can't bring myself to totally not do any work at all, but rather I just do what I need to do. Hrm... anyways back to the checklist. The next thing that came along was prom. Prom was in the end of April which means May is next and the end of may is graduation. Prom was pretty fun in my opinion. Well, it was much better than my Junior Function atleast. My date was good seeing that she was willing to dance the whole time. I had a fun time but wish I didn't fall asleep so early at the afterparty. Just yesterday we had Holoku. Now Holoku is really a big signal of the end of the year. Kind of like the bat signal, but all metaphorical and such. Anyways, none the less the year is coming to an end and I'm excited to graduate. Shoots, let's get saucy.
